Chicago Weddings and Civil Unions

by Beverly A. Pekala on April 19, 2012

In another sign of the times, budget cutbacks have resulted in the closing of Chicago suburban courthouses on weekends beginning May 5, 2012.
For those planning on their wedding or civil union taking place in the suburban courthouses in Rolling Meadows, Skokie, Markham, Bridgeview or Maywood, you’ll need to relocate your event.
Marriages and civil unions will continue to be performed on Saturdays at the Marriage and Civil Union Court, located at 119 Randolph Street, in the Loop. For those familiar with downtown Chicago, this is the County Building, located across the street from the Richard J. Daley Center. For further information, please call the Marriage and Civil Union Court at 312-603-5660.
